Mindshare Malaysia has appointed Gerald Wittenberger as its new managing director, effective 12 August.
Marketing Interactive reports that Wittenberger will be managing key client relationships, rolling out Mindshare’s new proprietary approach to communications (called ‘Adaptive Marketing’) and managing and nurturing Mindshare talents.
Wittenberger will be reporting to Girish Menon, GroupM CEO and head of Mindshare Malaysia.
He joins Mindshare Malaysia from OMD Slovakia where he was managing director since 2009. Through the course of his career, he has worked with over 30 clients across all major categories – including Pepsi, Shell, Nissan, Sony, McDonald’s, Hasbro, Johnson & Johnson, HP, Tesco, Henkel, Reebok and more.
“Gerald is joining us at a time when Mindshare is preparing for its next set of expansion plans in Malaysia on the back of new media and new consumer behaviours, especially through our recently launched proprietary process, Adaptive Marketing. Gerald’s management style is very inclusive and collaborative, and I am excited about the new perspectives that he will bring for Mindshare stakeholders – our clients and our talent. I look forward to seeing him come through with flying colours,” says Menon.
