Top Apps on Google Play store

The android society has reached a point where it is so spoilt for choice when it comes to apps and games, that often they find themselves just scrolling through the Play store looking for something to entertain them. They get bored with the game they are playing, uninstall it and then download something similar. If you are looking for some fun new apps to download, take a look at the list below.

Top Free App

Lucky Day – Win Real Money is an app developed by Lucky Day Entertainment, Inc. It is 100% free to download and claims no in-app purchases, hard to believe for a casino app. But with a 4.6-star rating and only 88mb in size, it’s worth a try. One downside is the advertising. It’s a price to pay for a chance to win PayPal credit or Amazon gift cards at 0% risk. It’s up to you whether you have the time or data to watch the same 20-second video adverts every minute. If you consider your time valuable, this app is not entirely free. It is, however, addictive in its simplicity. Take note, if entering the raffle to win flights, trips, or have your bills paid, you must be a citizen of one of the 50 United States or Washington.

Top Grossing App

No surprise here as the top grossing app position goes to Candy Crush Saga by King. The app was released on 12 November 2012 and took the world by storm. It has been downloaded more than 500 million times with a 4.5-star average rating. This app is only 87MB big but mostly consumes your time, as you continuously try to beat the sugary sweet board. Next time you are sitting in the waiting area of a doctor’s room, have a peek over the shoulder of the person sitting next to you, I bet they are playing Candy Crush.

Top Trending App

Trivia Crack 2 by Etermax takes the lead in this division. Only 71MB in size the 4.2-star reviews should have you convinced. Who doesn’t like a bit of a general knowledge test? Beat the game, and it feels like your IQ has increased a couple of notches, although we all know this isn’t possible, right? If not, perhaps you should be playing a more mind-numbing game, unchallenging game. In-app purchases range in price from $1 -$100. Released less than a year ago this apps fanbase has a lot of chance for expansion. With downloads already reaching over 10 million, it has the potential to be the app on everyone’s lips.

Top Paid App

Minecraft by Mojang is at the top of the charts for paid apps. This arcade game is about building and destroying and has been downloaded over ten million times. That’s a lot of people smashing a lot of blocks. Released a year before Candy Crush Saga one can’t help but wonder what their rating would be if they were a free app, and how many downloads they would have reached.
